Our Commitment
EWL will:
- Ensure that all employees are aware of their role and responsibility in sustaining our environmental management systems and practice
- Meet all applicable legislation and/or regulations concerning environmental requirements
- Continually assess the impact of our plant and products on the environment and the community in which we live and operate
- Manage and operate our facilities to promote energy efficiency and protect the environment
- Explore opportunities to reduce waste and pollutants, conserve resources and recycle materials at every stage of the manufacturing or refurbishment cycle
- Comply with best practice including the use of third party specialist disposal companies to supplement in house facilities and expertise
- Require suppliers to satisfy our environmental policies and procedures as part of our procurement process
- Periodically audit and assess their performance against environmental management systems
Our Compliance
- EWL are Environment Agency registered
- All aspects of cooler repair work complies to British and European standard; BSEN 378:2000 parts 1-4 refrigerating systems and heat pumps, safety and environmental requirements
- EWL's cooler decommissioning policy complies with the European Council regulation no: 2037/2000
- All refrigerant engineers employed by EWL have City & Guilds 207801 and are on the ACRIB national register
